Washington Sports Club & The Green Revolution

There is a cool new trend that is arriving at the washington sports club and other sports clubs around the country. Depending on where you live and the consciousness of the environment, your local sports club or fitness center maybe taking steps to turn green. It is no surprise that people who are body conscious are also becoming more environmentally conscious. These sports clubs are becoming very creative in finding ways to reduce their carbon footprint and also some very unique ways to harness the human energy being expended in workouts throughout the sport club facility.
Some of the ideas for becoming green at the washington sport club include simple steps of switching light bulbs to something that last longer and uses less energy. They also have started insulating swimming pools to reduce lost heat during times when the pools and hot tubs are not being used. Depending on the budget they may go to a system that automatically controls heat and air conditioning based on weather forecast and or usage. These sports clubs and fitness centers may also install solar heating systems for the pools and depending on the weather and location a thermal heat exchange unit to provide heat and air conditioning using the earth's own natural heat.
However what the Washington Sport Club and others have found most exciting is harnessing the energy produced by the fitness cycles, treadmills, stair steppers and many other pieces of exercise equipment. New technology has allowed the sports clubs to turn the spinning wheels on these devices directly into electricity. That means that those working out are generating enough electricity to power the televisions and even the lights in the room that they are using. We are hopeful that the technology will continue to expand to the point that it may be used to power computers, lights throughout the whole building, and perhaps someday be able to be self-sustaining by use of human power.
It is a fun and exciting time to be able to go the washington sport club enjoy the challenge of a good workout while watching the news and no that you are powering the television in front of you. Very rewarding way to spend an hour.

Washington Sport Club and Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama who has amazing tone, especially in her arms, has to give some of the credit to the Washington Sport Club. Clearly a great work out program with the assistant of a trainer from a washington sport club has given her the much talked about biceps. Some men may not like a woman who clearly demonstrates physical strength in such an obvious way. The time of our culture being stuck with stereotypes of women being petite and small with little strength was left in the twentieth century. No longer will places like a washington sport club weight lifting room be thought of as a place for men and the women should stick to cardio work outs and their dance classes. Now is the time for women to find equal access to all of the equipment and programs offered by the washington sport club to fully develop all of their physical abilities.
There are often conversations and debates and about the physical strength limitations of women and their inability to perform as firefighers, lumberjacks, or other very demanding jobs. Some of that maybe due to the different skeletal structure of women's bodies as compared to men. However some of the differences must be attributed to the way our culture limited women's access to places like the washington sport club and looked condescendingly at women who worked to develop an obvious display of muscle and tone.
If you are a woman take steps to find a place in the weight room. Don't let the chauvinist men who talk loud and sometimes degradingly run you out of the weight room. Take ownership of the washington sport club and begin to make a place inviting for women to work out and lift weights.
Clearly Michelle Obama has found a way to demonstrate the grace of her feminity while equally showcasing the strength of feminity.  There is no reason why the washington sport club won't continue to evolve into a place that eliminates all of the gender role limitations and become a place fully embracing the strength of women and the grace of men.  Perhaps the washington sport club along with other sports and fitness centers will soon have dance and yoga classes equally embracing graceful men, as well as free weight rooms frequented by scores of women as well as men.
